Fort Myers Rent a CarAll Fort Myers Rent a Car companies are conveniently located at the airport. As at any other major airport. Their buses will take you to their locations. But I always recommend to everyone to have your reservation in advance. Otherwise they will rob you blind. When my friends arrived at the end of 2005 for New Years Eve celebration, they didn't have a reservation. I reserved a nice villa for them in Cape Coral. But they couldn't get a car! And when they got it, it was so ridiculously overpriced, that I wanted to cry. Don't want to mention that I told them 4 times a month in advance to get a reservation.
Unless you don't mind spending lot of money of course. Planning your trip ahead always pays. You will enjoy your vacation from the moment you get on plane. I don't usually stick with one rental company or airline for life. To me that is old thinking. I want a good deal and I want it now. I go to
to get all my travel needs. Plane tickets, hotel reservation, rental car. Because I don't like to listen to an agent on the phone trying to push me for upgrades and trying to get more money of off me. I truly hate that. The other thing is that i can compare all deals here, all on screen of my computer, without running around and making phone calls. Also, if you have American Express card, you should automatically have insurance included when renting a car. That is of course when you pay for rental car with your Amex. Then you don't have to buy it from rental companies. Don't take my word for it though, you may have different agreement in your fine print. Double check it then to be sure. Because you don't want to drive a car without insurance, right?
